Grant Kempster was born in Aylesbury, Bucks in April of 1973 and raised in the small market town of Leighton Buzzard where he lived with his father and mother (former 60s pop singer, Christel Bird). Having spent the first 16 years of his life watching films and making comic books, his first job (at what was then Ritz Video, later Blockbuster) was the perfect breeding ground for his love of the movies. A career as a film journalist proved to be a natural progression which only served to strengthen his bond with the arts thanks to occasional forays into presenting. A family came next, providing Grant with three boys and the eventual need to change vocation. Now working as a freelance creative, Grant has finally found the flexibility to make the transition into acting. Having worked under Pethrow Gooden and Emily Pollet of Central, theatre and small film roles have followed.
